Betsy, Day 7
I saw a worm very much above ground and trying to turn itself around. I was freaked out so I went over and did something else. When I came back I saw that it was on the potato. I think that it was drinking because it was moving its head. I then came back later and there was a worm in a different area of the container, and it looked like it was making its way towards the new potato also so I believe that there are at least two worms still known alive. In a few hours I get to pass the worms off.
Betsy, Day 6
Today one of my roommates opened up the container and looked around for the worms. She said that one of them looked like it was dried up and probably dead. So when we both looked at it, we both came to the conclusion that that worm was dead. So one known dead worm and nine hopefully alive worms. I added another piece of potato to the container hoping that that would help to keep the remaining worms alive.
Betsy, Day 5
I am not sure when I am supposed to take the potato's out of the oatmeal. Some of them still look like they are alright and others look a pretty old. However, the worms seem to be alive because I saw one on the side inside of the oatmeal, and then it was not there later. I believe that they are still hiding under the potato's.
Betsy, Day 4
Ever since I lifted the potato and found the worms I have been too afraid to lift up the lid again and do anything to the oatmeal. The worms have not been very active on the top level where I can see them. I believe that they are all alive because of yesterday's incident.

Betsy, Day 3
I have looked at the worms, and I could see one wiggling to the top I believe. As far as I know they are all still alive, because they do not move very often when I am awake or around. I am not sure when to change the potatoes and how I should do that so it will be interesting to find out how. I am noticing that I am a tiny bit less freaked out by the worms, but only very slightly. I will be relieved when they are no longer near my kitchen.
So lucky me, I decided to be nice and remove some of the older looking potatoes, and the first one that I lift I find 3 of the worms living under it!!! I think that they have suction cup things on the bottom of their body because one reattached itself to the potato once I let go of it. So now I know to leave the potato's alone because they must all be living underneath them. I am now back to my normal freaked out level thanks to those worms.

Betsy, Day 2
Today the worms are a little more active. When i came home from school one was on the potatoes, so I believe that they are eating them, but I do not know when to take them out. I think that I will just watch to see if they do anything else with the potatoes. For the most part I cannot see any of the other worms because they are hidden in the oatmeal.

Pictures of our bugs/Betsy, Day 1
The worms did not do much once we added the oatmeal. When we first got them they were very wiggly. Now they move inside of the oatmeal but it is harder to see. I move the oatmeal around and then I can find one usually, so they must have found somewhere to hide. Right now there are 10 alive and moving from what I can see.
